十月,金秋送爽,我們迎來了中華人民共和國成立75周年的偉大時刻。在這個充滿節日氣氛的月份裏,我們學校的師生們也積極參與了各類慶祝活動,共同見證了這一歷史性的時刻。
國慶日假期當天,傅主任及陳姑娘親自帶隊,領著我們的學生們前往屯門文娛廣場,參加了盛大的「慶祝中華人民共和國成立75周年—屯門區國慶升旗禮」。現場氣氛熱烈非凡,五彩繽紛的裝飾和各具特色的攤位吸引了眾多市民駐足參觀。此外,我們的學生們還有幸參加了「金紫荊廣場升旗禮」,並有一位六年級的同學接受了民政及青年事務局的訪問,相關短片也已在互聯網上廣泛傳播。 |
October brings a refreshing autumn breeze as we celebrate the remarkable occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In this festive month, our school's teachers and students actively participated in various celebrations, witnessing this historic moment together.
On National Day, Dean of Discipline, Ms Fu and Social Worker Ms. Chan led our students to Tuen Mun Town Hall to join the grand "Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China – Tuen Mun National Day Flag-Raising Ceremony." The atmosphere was vibrant, with colorful decorations and unique booths attracting many citizens. Additionally, our students had the honor of participating in the "Flag-Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square," where a Primary 6 student was interviewed by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, and the related footage has been widely shared online.

為了弘揚中華文化,慶祝國慶佳節,我們還有二十位學生參加了教育局課程發展處藝術教育組及中國語文教育組合辦的「香港中小學書法活動—千人揮毫賀國慶」。他們在現場揮毫潑墨,展現了自己的書法才華,為國慶佳節增添了濃厚的文化氛圍。 |
To promote Chinese culture and celebrate the National Day, twenty students participated in the "Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy Event – Thousands of Brushes Celebrating the National Day," organized by the Curriculum Development Institute's Arts Education and Chinese Language Education Bureau. They showcased their calligraphy skills on-site, enriching the cultural atmosphere of the celebrations.

與此同時,我們也積極響應了「龍獅匯聚耀屯門—同賀建國‘七五’載」的舞龍活動,並派出了兩支隊伍,舞動著威武的獅子,與其他隊伍一起歡騰起舞,共同慶祝這一偉大的時刻。 |
At the same time, we actively responded to the "Lion Dance Gathering to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Nation" and sent two teams to perform lion dances, joining other teams in a joyful celebration of this great occasion.

在國慶期間,我們還組織了一系列富有教育意義的活動。十月二日,我們帶領四十位小四至小六的學生前往中環展城館參觀「家國情微型藝術展」。這次展覽展示了超過40件精緻的微型藝術作品,包括「神舟18號」升空場景、「國寶」熊貓、維港和港珠澳大橋等大灣區地標,讓學生們在欣賞藝術作品的同時,也增強了他們的家國情懷。
During the National Day period, we organized a series of educational activities. On 2nd October, we took forty students from Primary 4 to 6 to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to visit the "National Sentiment Miniature Art Exhibition." This exhibition displayed over 40 exquisite miniature art pieces, including scenes from the launch of "Shenzhou 18," the "National Treasure" panda, Victoria Harbour, and landmarks of the Greater Bay Area, allowing students to appreciate art while deepening their national pride.

在九月三十日的升旗禮上,我們也做了一些與往常不同的安排。除了英姿凜凜的升旗儀式外,全校師生還共同高唱了國歌,場面令人動容。隨後,我在國旗下發表了講話,向學生們講述了國家在這七十五年來的堅持與不斷發展,以及所取得的輝煌成就。最後,我們還邀請了舞龍隊的同學們進行舞龍表演,並拍下了珍貴的合照。
In our flag-raising ceremony on 30th September, we arranged some unique activities. In addition to the impressive flag-raising ceremony, all teachers and students sang the national anthem together, creating a touching atmosphere. Following this, I delivered a speech under the national flag, sharing with students the persistence and continuous development of our country over the past seventy-five years, along with its remarkable achievements. We also invited the lion dance team to perform, capturing precious group photos.

在德育及公民教育課上,我們也專門安排了有關國家七十五年來發展及成就的課程,讓學生們能夠系統地了解國家的歷程和成就。這些有意義的國慶活動,不僅提高了學生們的國民身份認同,還弘揚了愛國精神和提升了他們的民族自豪感。
In our Moral and Civic education Lesson, we specifically arranged lessons discussing the country's development and achievements over the past seventy-five years, enabling students to systematically understand the nation's history and accomplishments. These meaningful National Day activities not only enhanced students' national identity but also promoted patriotism and elevated their sense of pride.

此外,我們學校還積極響應了全港中小學的「躍動校園、活力人生」計劃。為了發展學生的體育技能和提升他們的體適能,我們學校開展了多元化的體育活動。除了體育課外,我們還在星期五下午加入了體藝課,並為學生們提供了更多課後及週末的運動機會。作為體育老師,我也親自參與了這些活動的策劃和組織,並為學生們設計了一些有趣又有效的運動項目。近日,為了進一步豐富學生的午息時段,我們學校新增了兩項別開生面的活動。第一項是寫毛筆字活動,學校特意購置了兩支大號毛筆,同學們只需用清水,便能在寬闊的地面上自由書寫大字。這項活動不僅讓同學們在書寫中感受中國書法的魅力,還因為需要全身協調用力,寫完後往往會大汗淋漓,無形中達到了鍛煉身體的效果,而且十分環保!
Furthermore, our school actively responded to the citywide "Dynamic Campus, Vibrant Life" program for primary and secondary schools. To develop students' athletic skills and improve their fitness, we have launched a variety of sports activities. In addition to physical education classes, we have added sports and arts classes on Friday afternoon, providing students with more opportunities for extra curricular and weekend sports. As a physical education teacher, I have personally participated in planning and organizing these activities, designing fun and effective exercise projects for the students. Recently, to further enrich students' recess, we introduced two new activities. The first is a calligraphy activity, where the school purchased two large sponge brushes, allowing students to write big characters on a spacious surface on the ground using only water. This activity not only lets students experience the charm of Chinese calligraphy but also requires full-body coordination, resulting in a fun workout. It is eco-friendly activity.

另一項新增活動則源自於我個人的排球經歷。回想起中學時代,排球隊的教練曾用各種創新的方法來訓練我們,其中就包括使用帶有“耳朵”的排球進行扣殺練習。受此啟發,我們也將這一方法引入到了學校的午息活動中。同學們對這一新奇的練習方式充滿了興趣,爭先恐後地排隊參與,全力以赴地跳起擊球,現場氣氛熱烈而歡樂。這些活動不僅讓同學們在午息時段得到了充分的放鬆和鍛煉,還增進了他們之間的團隊合作和友誼。
The second new activity is inspired by my personal experience with volleyball. Reflecting on my secondary school days, our coach used various innovative methods to train us, including practicing spikes with volleyballs that had "ears." Inspired by this, we introduced this method into our school's lunch recess activities. Students showed great interest in this unique practice, eagerly lining up to participate and jumping to hit the ball, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere. These activities not only provide students with ample relaxation and exercise during breaks but also enhance teamwork and friendship among them.

在這個月裏,我們還舉行了法團校董會家長校董選舉和第二十六屆家長教師會主席及執行委員會選舉。選舉過程順利進行,並選出了新一屆的家長校董和家長教師會成員。隨後,我們還邀請了著名的資深傳媒人張笑容女士為我們的老師和家長們進行了題為「善意溝通、讓愛流動」的講座。她的分享讓我們深受啟發,並學會了如何更好地進行溝通和交流。
This month, we also held the elections for the Parent Managers of the Incorporated Management Committee and the Chairperson and Executive Committee of the 26th Parent-Teacher Association. The election process went smoothly, and we selected a new group of parent managers and PTA members. Subsequently, we invited renowned media personality Ms. Cheung Siu Yung to give a talk entitled "Kind Communication, Let Love Flow" to our teachers and parents. Her insights inspired us and taught us how to communicate and connect better.

喜訊再傳!我們的足球隊在中學邀請賽中表現出色,成功奪得了碟賽的冠軍。這不僅是他們辛勤付出的回報,更是對他們團隊精神和拼搏精神的肯定。他們將以此為契機,繼續參加更多的足球比賽,不斷鍛鍊身體,提升技能,並從比賽中學會面對挑戰,建立正確及正面的價值觀和態度。
We have more good news! Our football team performed exceptionally well in the inter-school invitational tournament, successfully winning the championship trophy. This achievement is not only a reward for their hard work but also a recognition of their team spirit and determination. They will use this success as a stepping stone to participate in more football competitions, continuously improving their skills and learning to face challenges while developing a positive attitude and values.

在課堂教學方面,我們始終堅持“經歷為本”的教學理念,讓學生在實踐中學習,在學習中成長。小一的同學們在視藝課上,親手製作了自己的視藝袋,既培養了動手能力,又學會了如何整理和管理自己的物品。當他們高興地展示自己的作品時,那份成就感和自豪感溢於言表。
In our classroom teaching, we consistently adhere to the "experience-based" educational philosophy, allowing students to learn through practice and grow through learning. Our Primary 1 students created their own art bags in Visual Arts class, cultivating their hands-on skills while learning to organize and manage their belongings. The joy and pride in their faces as they showcased their creations were truly heartwarming.

六年級的同學們則在STEAM課程中,通過製作羅馬炮台,深入了解了力學的原理和應用。他們不僅在課堂上認真學習,還在禮堂中進行了激烈的比賽,展現了自己的智慧和團隊合作能力。
Meanwhile, our Primary 6 students delved into the principles and applications of mechanics by building Roman catapults in their STEAM classes. They did not only engage earnestly in learning but also showcased their intelligence and teamwork during an exciting competition in the school hall.

為了進一步增加師生互動,啟發學生思維,我們中文組還精心設計了校本戲劇活動。以小四為例,教師們用戲劇習式“事件重演”、“思路追蹤”和“焦點人物”來教授課文《雲雀明白了》。同學們在課堂上扮演不同的動物角色,從它們的角度去思考問題,並通過討論為雲雀找到解決問題的方法。這種教學方式不僅讓學生們更加投入課堂,還讓他們在輕鬆愉快的氛圍中深刻理解了故事的寓意和道理。
To further enhance interaction between teachers and students and inspire their thinking, our Chinese Department has carefully designed a school-based drama activity. For example, in a lesson on the text "The Lark Understood," teachers used drama techniques like "event reenactment," "thought tracking," and "focal character" to teach the students. Students took on different animal roles, thinking from their perspectives and discussing solutions for the lark. This teaching method not only engaged students but also allowed them to deeply understand the story's meaning in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

至於六年級的科任老師更別出心裁地將學校活動室創設成楚人泛舟的情境,使用戲劇習式「紙砌環境」還原故事中渡江的小舟,又透過「楚人渡江」、「其劍下墜」、「以刀刻舟」和「下水尋劍」這四個「定格」畫面,視覺化地將文章起承轉合的結構疏理出來,方便學生掌握故事的核心內容。另外,教師又通過「思路追蹤」和「焦點人物」等戲劇習式,一方面帶領學生探索故事中人物的心理狀況,另一方面激發起大家討論尋劍的興趣,藉此培養學生解難能力,而且啟發他們更深度的思考。
The P6 subject teachers creatively transformed the school's activity room into a setting reminiscent of the Chu people rowing a boat. They used the theatrical technique of "paper-built environments" to recreate the small boat from the story about crossing the river. Through four "frozen" scenes—"Chu people crossing the river," "the sword falling," "carving the boat with a knife," and "searching for the sword in the water"—they visually organized the structure of the narrative, helping students grasp the core content of the story. Additionally, the teachers employed techniques like "thought tracking" and "focus characters" to guide students in exploring the psychological states of the characters in the story, while also stimulating discussion about the search for the sword. This approach not only cultivated the students' problem-solving skills but also inspired deeper thinking.

為提升同學的英語水平及學習的興趣,學校都舉辦不同的活動,給予學生參加。一年一度的萬聖節活動,也在十月三十一日舉行。當天同學們都悉心打扮,不單給老師及同學展示一個不一樣的自己,另外也是參加了籌款活動,幫助有需要的人。同學們在課室,會有很多活動去學習英文,今次更安排一些活動在樓層,讓同學與同級同學交流及一起遊玩;地下也有攤位、拍攝、填色,每個地方也充滿歡笑聲、語言環境及學習氣氛。 除了英語學習外,今年所有老師都穿著某一齣卡通電影的人物T-Shirt,看起來十分整齊、團結。另外,我們希望提醒學生每一個人也有不同的情緒,要多照顧及控制自己的情緒。若自己情緒不穩,不要打擾別人,應找一些自己相信的人去分享一下,尋找合適的放鬆及舒緩方法。 今年屬校世界龍岡學校朱瑞蘭(中英文)幼稚園也到校與我們一起學習,他們更表演跳舞助興,令氣氛更熱鬧。最後我們大合唱及最佳服裝選舉作完結整個學習活動。語言是要活學活用,而且能夠與人溝通,才是真正的語言。
To enhance students' English proficiency and interest in learning, the school organizes various activities for them to participate in. The annual Halloween event takes place on 31st October. On that day, students dress up painstakingly, not only to show a different side of themselves to teachers and classmates but also to take part in fundraising activities to help those in need. In the classroom, there are many activities for learning English, and this time, some activities are arranged on the floors to allow students to interact and have fun with their peers. The basement features booths, photography, and coloring stations, with laughter, a language-rich environment, and a vibrant learning atmosphere filling every corner.
In addition to learning English, this year all the teachers wore T-shirts featuring characters from a particular cartoon movie, creating a very neat and united team spirit. As we want to remind students that everyone experiences different emotions and should take care to manage their own feelings. If someone is feeling unstable emotionally, they should avoid disturbing others and instead share their feelings with someone they trust, finding appropriate ways to relax and relieve stress.
This year, our affiliated school – LKWFS Chu Sui Lan (Anglo-Chinese) Kindergarten also joined us for learning activities, and they performed a dance to liven up the atmosphere. We concluded the entire learning event with a group sing-along and a best costume contest. Language is meant to be learned actively and used in real-life communication, which is the true essence of language.
